Daily Grind- Listen with Understanding 11/22/2011
Today I challenge you to expand your listening skills by becoming an ACTIVE LISTENER. An active listener gives their undivided attention to the speaker to get a clear understanding of the message. Often times when someone is delivering a message, we are not truly listening. Instead, we are preparing our response, planning our comeback or playing w...ith our mobile devices. These actions display a lack of respect and shows little regard to the person that is talking. They deserve more than that and we are better than that! Let’s become active listeners and work to gain an understanding of the speaker so that we bring fulfillment to that person and complete the task at hand. Listen for understanding and Be Great.
