We can all find something to criticize and complain about. It is easy to evaluate others or dissect the choices they have made.  Be reminded that before we offer our opinions on how they should get better, we need to look internally and take ownership for personal improvements. I challenge you today to begin the change with you. Stop looking around and look in the mirror. Ask yourself “What can I do better?” or “How can I make a difference?” Now is the time for us to focus on our individual selves. Throughout this lifetime, we all will be faced with situations where someone has caused us hurt or severe pain. After we gather ourselves and regain our composure, it is time for us to take the test of forgiveness. I challenge you today to take and pass the test of forgiveness by truly releasing the hurt and restoring the relationship back to its original form. It is critical that we understand that this test of forgiveness is for us and not for the person who we feel offended us. By forgiving, we liberate ourselves by passing the test and this act allows our heavenly FATHER to grant us that same blessed reward of Forgiveness.

We all face situations in relationships where we are at a loss of words. Sometimes we are so disturbed by these instances that it rocks us to the core. Conversely, there are instances when we attempt to control others, out of anger, by eliminating communication with them. I challenge you today to move past the silence by expressing your feelings. When we give someone the silent treatment, we are creating a wedge between us and the person whom we feel offended us. To have successful, healthy relationships, we are obligated to convey our thoughts of hurt and disappointment by being transparent. When we work through the misunderstanding, we tear down the walls of confusion. Remember that conversation rules the nation and when we talk through our problems, it allows us to Be Great!

In this life, we are going to be involved with people that can cause us to alter our actions. It is critical that we compose a strategy to protect our thoughts. If we maintain our focus towards the purpose our Heavenly Father has for us, nothing can shake our beings. With this stability, we will remain steadfast and unmovable in our character. I challenge you today to not become infected by the negative and toxic spirits that we come in contact with on a regular basis. Be reminded that whatever we place into our spirits becomes visible in our attitudes and articulated in our words. If we are around profanity or destructive language, it filters into our minds and this infection manifests itself through our communication with others. It is critical that we guard our minds and hearts to combat those words by thinking and speaking in LOVE! Be Great!
