In this life we will have opportunities to get even with individuals whom we feel have wronged us. It is in those times that we should be reminded of the grace that God continues to provide to us.  Today I challenge you to relinquish your feelings of revenge by keeping your mind focused on our Father in Heaven and allowing him to do his job. When we attempt to get even we essentially lose faith in GOD, deciding that his vengeance is not enough. We must remember that GOD is the potter and we are the clay.  It is his job to change the hearts of our offenders and transform them into something Great.  When we rush to verdict or take it upon ourselves to settle the score, we halt forward movement in our lives because our thoughts are focused on the past.  Release your vengeance, receive your blessings by providing Grace and Be Great!

There will be times in our lives when we have to set aside our emotions and take time to think. We must be reminded that we can't fall into the trap of the enemy by expressing ourselves negatively during frustrating situations. It is critical that we keep our composure and hold our tongues. I challenge you today to think before you speak. Just because someone has falsely accused us or said something that we disagreed with does not mean that we have to react to it. We should be reminded of the saying that "a man who knows he's right does not have to argue his point." In order for us to show our greatness we must pass the test of restraint when it is given. From the view in the distance, it appears that we don’t have a chance. Contrary to what we see, once we make a decision to place our faith in GOD, the odds immediately change in our favor. When we finally grasp how precious life is, we should be compelled to enjoy it to the fullest. We often spend much of our time chasing after possessions and positions because we feel they are the “right thing”, only to find them unfulfilling. I challenge you today to discover what you LOVE.  In order to accomplish this challenge, we must first ask some questions to find out our passions. What motivates us to live? What can we do that can make a difference on this earth? How can our talents serve others? Uncovering these answers will require us to get out of our routine and face new experiences. With the new experiences we gain opportunities to discover what we LOVE. The beauty of life lies in memories we make and the legacy we leave and that can only be achieved by discovering what we LOVE. If we live long enough, there will be times when we commit acts against others that are reprehensible. When these moments occur, we are obligated to ask for forgiveness of our offenses, as well as forgive ourselves. No matter what we’ve done, God always offers the opportunity of forgiveness. But it is up to us to forgive ourselves. I challenge you today to completely release your pass offenses and forgive yourself. The price has already been paid for us on the cross. We must cut the chains of guilt and walk boldly into our future. Remember that nothing in your past has the power to block your future. In order for us to be considered a true friend, our actions must match our words. Our basic function as a true friend is to allow our positive qualities to enlighten one another, as well as offer examples of integrity to mimic. Knowing this, it is extremely important that we don’t wallow in guilt over our faults or immerse ourselves in the “shouldas, couldas, wouldas” of your past. I challenge you today to see your mistakes as mis-takes and have the courage to move forward. Many of us are paralyzed by our past and fail to move forward. In order for us to walk in our greatness, we must acknowledge our mistakes and leave them behind, knowing that we are provided another opportunity to get back on track. One of our goals in life should be to create a good name for ourselves.  Who we are is based on our words, actions and most importantly, our character. If we perform good deeds and unselfish acts we will be called righteous. Likewise, if we mistreat people and talk down to them, we will be called rude or disrespectful. While everyone is entitled to some bad days, we must remember that when you live like every day is dreadful, you will be branded as such. We have all heard of the old saying, “you reap what you sow”. It leaves us to think that at some point in our lives, we will be rewarded or punished. When that time comes, we must be prepared for the harvest for this is our due season. I challenge you today to work hard towards your due season. Because of the challenges and obstacles in life, we often feel that our due season has passed us by. Be encouraged that our Father’s grace is more than sufficient and affords numerous opportunities to plant seeds for our due season. Now is the time for us to roll up our sleeves and sow into the land of infinite opportunity; for therein lies our DUE SEASON. Be Great!
