Pick Your Friends Like You Pick Your Fruit! 6/5/2012

Daily Grind – Pick Your Friends Like You Pick Your Fruit! 6/5/2012

We have the opportunity to choose the company we keep. The choices that we make in companions can construct or destroy who we are and the individuals we are trying to become. I challenge you today to pick your friends like you pick your fruit. We should be very selective when making a decision to befriend someone by examining that person’s character and drive. If we align ourselves with like minded people, we will be destined to progress further in our goals. In the same token, immersing ourselves in relationships that are toxic can prohibit our forward movement. Be reminded that the energy others possess has the ability to consume us if we are not careful.  It is important that we analyze what we want in our friendships and seek those qualities in people that we meet. Nevertheless, we must also present ourselves in the mirror image that we want to see in a friend. Remember that iron sharpens iron so be selective when choosing friends and Be Great.

Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them." ~ W. Clement Stone
