Daily Grind – You Are What You Practice! 7/17/2012
Whatever we set out to accomplish in life requires a sacrifice of our
time and effort. We must keep in mind that we develop character through our
habits and the people who have the most self control usually demonstrate the
best habits. I challenge you today to remember that whatever we display in our
lives, we are practicing and practice makes perfect. If we constantly complain about
the things that are “wrong” in our lives, we are practicing misery. Likewise,
if we give our best effort with a positive attitude, knowing that we have the
victory, we are practicing greatness! Either way, the choice is in our hands. So
today, we should choose to be consistent in our practice to be GREAT!
James A.
Bush, Jr. (The Bushinator)
Excellence is an
art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have
virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.
