On this last day of this year, let’s rejoice and be glad in the fact that in spite of all the tricks of the enemy, we are still here. Regardless of our circumstances in life, we did not give up or give in. I challenge you today to celebrate our resilience because WE MADE IT! Some people left us and counted us out but our faith and determination brought us threw. Together, we must stand on the principles that if we are still here, the FATHER is giving us another opportunity to get things right and reach our break through. At this moment, we are required to reclaim the power over our lives and take action to press forward in victory. No longer will we allow our past to define us. Let’s start by shaking away the old and embracing the NEW. Let’s open our hearts and minds to new opportunities, new outcomes, a new attitude and GREATNESS in the New Year!

As we whine down the remainder of this year, remember it’s not how you start the process, it’s how you finish. Today I challenge you to remain steadfast and dialed in on completing this year by giving your all. Regardless of the circumstances, we are still in the race. The appealing thing about this race is that we are competing against our personal life goals. If we are not where we expected, it is time to thrust forward to gain ground knowing that our strong finish will be momentum for a fresh start next year. Likewise, if we are ahead of our personal aspirations, we must continue the same discipline and practices to see the same results. We are in the home stretch and that’s when all of the hard work pays off. Be encouraged that at this moment we are in control of our destiny. It’s up to us to decide how we finish this year. Let’s finish strong creating a positive outlook on 2014. Have a Safe, Blessed New Year and Be Great!

DG – Your FAITH in ACTION! 12/27/2013

At the start of this new Fantastic Friday, we are charged to use every ounce of belief that we have in us to affirm our break through. It does not matter what you’re facing or what you’re going through, freedom and victory is just around the corner. I challenge you today to put your FAITH in ACTION by trusting in the POWER of our HEAVENLY FATHER, affirming that “We are FREE of debt, HEALED from sickness, and LED daily by God’s DIVINE order!” Please recall the woman with the issue of blood; she put her faith in action by pushing through the crowd. She knew and affirmed that “If I can just touch HIS garment, I will be restored to HEALTH. And Jesus confirmed to Her that her FAITH restored her HEALTH” (Mark 5:25-34). If he did it before, he’ll do it again. Allow your FAITH to be in ACTION and Be GREAT!

The bible teaches us in John 3:16 that God so LOVED the world that he GAVE! Love is an action that when placed in motion, must be proceeded by sacrifice. Today I challenge you to continue to love in sacrifice. Don’t get weary in your giving because it is all a part of your grind. It is in your grind that your blessings are released! Like Christ, continue to provide the type of love that surpasses all understanding. We are all programmed for greatness. However, there are times when we should be on the mountaintop but find ourselves in the valley. In this very moment, we all ask the question “Why Me?”. You say and do all of the right things and still face adversity and disappointment. Today, I pose the question, WHY NOT YOU? In order to build muscle and gain strength, you've got to go through some resistance to see results. Similarly, in times of tribulation, God is taking you through a storm to build your faith and trust in him so you have a testimony to share with others of HIS results. Instead of looking for pity, think about what you can share as your triumph from this test. We often fall deeper into the valley by not fighting our way to the top. In order to change your circumstance, you must first change your mind set. Remember, the greater the problem, the greater the blessing! I challenge you on this beautiful day to start thinking differently about your valley experiences. Instead of asking WHY ME, know that the SON is preparing you for VICTORY and declare WHY NOT ME. The man that is standing on top of the mountain didn’t start there. Change our mindset and Be Great.

On this fresh new day, let’s hold each other accountable for not only our words but more importantly, our actions. Think about it; anybody can say anything. However, those that bring their words to life with their actions truly experience the fruits of life. I challenge you today to shift things in your favor and don’t TALK about it, BE about it! If our word is bond, we should be speaking action and greatness into our lives. Let’s not put ourselves in a position to get called out on the carpet for the things that we say and then try to moon walk ourselves out of the situation because we did not do what we said. From this point forward, whatever we SAY, we must DO! Let’s get back to our foundation of allowing our words to be TRUE and our actions to be the LAW. Daily Grind Classic- Don’t Be Defined By One Act! 12/13/2013

We can all playback the DVR in our minds and recall a particular act or situation when we said or did something that we’re not too proud of. Often times we allow others to fertilize these situations and water them into weeds.  As a result, they use those moments in an attempt to define us. I challenge you today to not be defined by one act. It is essential that we give our best so consistently, that when these moments occur, others can still reflect on our good works. We should view of our lives as a head of lettuce. We are made up of several layers and can peel away those things that don't allow us to be GREAT.  One act doesn't define an individual so don’t be too concerned when others attempt to define you. Be reminded that the path you are traveling was defined by the SON, and those low moments were a part of the plan, to make you the person you are destined to be. So stand firm, know your depth, and Be Great!

Allow this day to be the start of the rest of your life. Take this new opportunity to cutback and downsize every situation or relationship that hinders your personal growth. If it does not bear good fruit or uplift you, eliminate it! We spend too much time and energy on people that have no desire to CHANGE!  We may not have any power over their transformation but we do have the power to remove ourselves from the situation. From time to time, it is critical that we take inventory of what emotions we allow in our hearts and minds as it is a direct reflection of how we communicate. It’s really simple: if we harbor hate and ill-will in our hearts, we allow our minds to be poisoned and our speech will be as bitter as the salt water in the sea. On the other hand, if we decide to soak up love and understanding in spite of the challenges we face, we will speak with a spirit that is sweet like honey. On this day that we have never seen before, we should embrace the possibilities of hope and anticipation, rather than moving in doubt and despair. It is time that we take control of our thoughts and center our minds to only think of the positives. It is a fact that bad things will happen in this life; however, we can minimize those experiences by controlling what we allow our minds to concentrate on. I challenge you today to stop worrying about the circumstances in your life. As you begin to focus on the intimate details of your past, you will reflect on all of the things that you were worried or upset about but the outcome worked itself out. We may not be exactly where we desire, but we have certainly come a long way from where we were.  Today, we must be BOLD by using our mustard seed FAITH to say "move mountain" and continue on to our destiny. It may not look good right now but it will work out. Start today with no worries and be GREAT!

It doesn't matter the amount of zeros at the end of our bank accounts, the number of employees we manage, the size of our home or the price of the car we drive. What really matters are the relationships we’ve developed with people around us. I challenge you today to embrace your significant moments and make the most of your relationships while there’s still a chance. When we reflect on our past and the times that were really magical, we can be reminded that it was the people, and not the possessions, that made those moments so special.  Remember your significant moments and Be Great!
