Be the Thermostat, Not the Thermometer!

Daily Grind – Be the Thermostat, NOT the Thermometer! 4/19/2003

Let’s begin this weekend with making a choice on how to live our lives. We can decide to be motionless, forced to move at the commands of others, or we can choose to regulate our own personal happiness by making changes that will enrich our lives. I challenge you today to be the Thermostat and not the Thermometer. At this moment, we should be inspired to take control of our lives and do something special. We should no longer sit around, like a bump on a log, waiting for our ship to come in. Remember that nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream. We can’t afford to wait on someone else’s approval. It is time for us to step up and become active participants in fulfilling our own destiny. Be bold and change the temperature of the world by being Great!

James A. Bush, Jr. (The Bushinator)

Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing. ~Thomas Jefferson
