However, we were always blessed to have someone in our corner to pick us up and dust us off. I challenge you today to celebrate your family and friends by creating lasting memories of fun and happiness. We should focus only on the positives and rejoice that we have family and friends to break bread with.  I am grateful for each and every one of you that have made The Daily Grind a part of your life.  I love and appreciate you for making God’s plan for me to reach others. On this Magnificent Monday, let’s allow our minds to stretch, bend and spring to discover new heights. It is a fact that the only constant in life is CHANGE. This means that we can’t wait for ideal conditions to bust a move; we have to make our moves and adjust on the fly. I challenge you today to start a new way of thinking by being flexible and thinking outside of the box with an understanding that we control our CHANGE. Remember, you are the CEO of your Destiny. You have the authority to alter, switch, or upgrade your life. Now is the time to take the next step on our journey. Tradition gives us a road map of where we have come from, however we don’t have to be bound by it. Instead we must be innovative and cutting edge, appreciating that new thinking brings new experiences that allow us to Be GREAT!

What really matters are the relationships we’ve developed with people around us. I challenge you today to embrace your significant moments and make the most of your relationships while there’s still a chance. I challenge you today to take ownership and celebrate your uniqueness. Stop trying to follow or imitate others. Instead, walk confidently to the beat of your own drum. Be reminded that once you celebrate your uniqueness, your true beauty begins to SHOW. DAILY GRIND CLASSIC – TIME to Bury the Hatchet!  11/20/2013

At the beginning of this new day, let’s evaluate all of our grudges and finally release them so that we can be free. We will no longer allow someone else’s mess to live within our hearts. Of course it hurt us, but in order for us to move forward it’s essential that we take the high road and simply LET IT GO. I challenge you today to realize that it is time to bury the hatchet. We cannot continue to allow past poisons to slowly overtake our lives. When we refuse to FORGIVE, we continue to carry the venom that constantly shows up in our ATTITUDES. In order to FORGIVE, we need to remember how our Heavenly Father provides GRACE and FORGIVENESS to us. So today, it’s time to finally bury the hatchet, forgive our transgressors, and BE GREAT!

At the beginning of this work week, let’s gauze into the mirror to validate what we are made of. It should be understood that the test of who we really are does not come in times of comfort and convenience but during moments of pressure and pain. I challenge you today to be encouraged when you are going through because you will discover your strengths during those trials and tribulations. They say what doesn't kill you make you stronger, so if that is the case, it is up to us to turn things around once we realize that we are not DEAD! It may have hurt but we are still here! Get up and get out of that rut. You are stronger than you thought you were. You took the enemy’s best shot and made it through. So on this day, be fortified in WHO you are, use your discovered strengths to your advantage and BE GREAT!

With the start of this new day, let’s take a stand on negativity. It is time that we search our hearts and minds to ensure that we are not harboring any destructive ideas that could cause us to miss out on our blessings. I challenge you today to draw your line in the sand by immediately releasing any negative thoughts that cross your mind. It’s a fact that bad things will occur in our lives, but we can’t allow ourselves to be consumed with despair. From this point forward, we will design the life we want to live. So the next time we are faced with a situation where negative energy is present, we must draw our line in the sand to rebuke that spirit and shift the atmosphere by being positive and BEING GREAT!

On this Wonderful Wednesday, let’s take inventory of the progress we have made over our lifetime. Often times, when we fall short or backslide into our old habits, there is always someone there ready to judge. However, we must be encouraged that our development is a PROCESS and as long as we get back on track, we can ignore the attacks of naysayers. I challenge you today to be confident that some change is better than no change. Changes in our lives may not be happening as quickly as we’d like but we shouldn’t get dismayed and disappointed. Instead, we should celebrate our small accomplishments because some progress beats no progress at all. If we focus on being consistent, we will begin to limit our mistakes and soon everyone will be able to see our change. Move forward at your pace toward your progress, celebrate the small victories and BE GREAT!

As we start this new day, let’s be encouraged by the seeds we have planted in our lives. With each passing day, we are obligated to till, maintain and invest in the crops that we have sown waiting patiently for them to produce. Now is the time for us to anticipate reaping from our harvest. I challenge you today to expect abundance because this is your due season. It is vital that we anticipate, envision and believe in our break through. My prayer is that your blessings continue to overflow to your children’s children. It Will Get Better

As we embark on another day’s journey, be encouraged knowing that we are closer to our turn around moment. When things are constantly in an uproar and there is no peace in sight, we tend to question where, when and how will things improve. But on this day, I challenge you to hang on to that last glimmer of hope with assurance that it will get better. As soon as we begin to focus on the Problem Solver instead of the problem, it will begin to work out for us. In this crazy world of uncertainty and skepticism it is imperative that we have FAITH in our CREATOR, knowing that he WILL grant us the promises of his holy WORD. So now is the time to tighten our boot straps and remain steadfast for every storm we face has an END DATE. It will get better so Be Great!

On this Wonderful Wednesday, we must remind ourselves of who we truly are. It is time to stop playing roles by portraying or mimicking others just to fit their way of thinking. Today we are obligated to let our individual light shine by being transparent and comfortable with ourselves. I challenge you today to never compromise who you are for the sake of someone else. If there are people in our inner circle that don’t accept our morals and convictions, we must politely, and swiftly, remove them out of our lives. Keep in mind that whenever you are trying to better yourself or move to the next level, there will always be individuals that try to stunt your growth with words and actions that challenge your being. Don’t be discouraged by the tricks of the enemy. Stand firm on your foundation as a child of the FATHER press forward knowing that you are GREAT!

On this Triumphant Tuesday, we should use this opportunity to exhibit our patience by showing how we truly trust and rely on our Father in Heaven. When we discard thoughts of our personal agendas, we will quickly realize that our Father has a better plan for our lives. I challenge you today to be assured that we are winners through FAITH. We must not be overcome by what we see, instead it is important that we exercise our FAITH by standing on the promises of GOD. Take some time to open up the Good Book and find a right now word for a right now time. Allow that word to be your GPS to maneuver out of any difficult circumstance. It is important that we believe that every situation that we face will eventually work in our favor. When we believe, we win through Faith and show the world that we are Great!

DG - Don't Quit!

Daily Grind – DON’T QUIT!  11/1/2013

Today marks the beginning of a new month and we must take this opportunity to dig a little deeper to complete the goals we have set for ourselves. Now is definitely not the time to give up and go home; this is our time to shine! When things get difficult and unsettling, we are obligated to find ways to press forward and keep going. My challenge for you today is DON’T QUIT but instead DO IT. We are people of action and we shouldn’t sit idle and wait for something to happen; we should make things happen. Remember, quitting was created for losers and that is not in our BLOOD. We were created to be triumphant and victorious. Remember, it’s not about the score on the board, it’s about the fight we give until the end of the game. So, let’s prepare our minds to go farther, DO IT and Be Great!
